The short version: your walks are nobody's business but yours. Vestride has no account and no sign-in. Your walks, your Bone Loading Minutes, your streak and your vest history all live on your device. There is no Vestride server, so we have nothing to read: your data never reaches us. We never sell data, never show ads, and never train anything on you. You can wipe everything at any time.
1. Who We Are
Vestride is developed by Anchori Intel, a sole-trader app studio operated by Stuart McMillan, registered in Australia (ABN 51 277 394 323). Questions about this policy: hello@anchoriintel.com.
2. What Vestride Collects
Nothing on our servers. Vestride has no account, no login, and no analytics or tracking SDKs. It makes no network calls to us. Everything you create stays on your device.
Your walks & profile — each logged walk, its duration and vest weight, your Bone Loading Minutes, your streak, your body weight and goal — are stored locally on your device (in a private app group shared only with the Vestride widgets and the Vestride Apple Watch app on your own devices).
3. Apple Health (HealthKit)
Vestride works with your Apple Health data on your device, with your permission.
- Vestride reads your body weight, only so it can calculate how much of your bodyweight your vest adds (your load percentage), on-device.
- Vestride writes each weighted walk to Health as a structured Walking workout — including its duration, estimated energy, distance, and vest-load details — if you allow it, so the record is yours and visible to you and any clinician you choose to share it with.
- Your Health data is never sent to Anchori Intel or any third party. It never leaves your device through Vestride.
- You can grant or revoke Health access any time in the Health app or iOS Settings. In line with Apple's rules, Vestride never uses Health data for advertising or shares it for marketing.
4. Apple Watch
If you use the Vestride Apple Watch app, walks you start or finish on your watch are sent to your iPhone using Apple's on-device Watch Connectivity, which pairs your own two devices directly. This device-to-device transfer does not pass through any Anchori Intel server.
5. Live Activities, Widgets & Notifications
Vestride's Live Activity, Dynamic Island and widgets display your own on-device data. They are rendered locally by iOS; nothing is sent to us. Any reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
6. Subscriptions
Vestride Pro is an optional purchase — available monthly, yearly (with a free trial), or as a one-time lifetime unlock — sold through Apple's App Store. Purchases and payments are handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. 7. What We Never Do
- We never sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
- We never show advertising.
- We never share your walks or health data with a third party.
- We never train an AI model on your data.
- We never use tracking identifiers (IDFA, ATT prompts).
8. Your Rights
- Delete everything — removing the app erases every walk, streak and setting stored on the device. Workouts you saved to Apple Health are managed in the Health app.
- Manage Health access — in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings → Privacy → Health.
- Cancel your subscription — manage in your Apple Account settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data. Because Vestride holds nothing about you on any server, most requests are satisfied simply by using the app's own controls and Apple Health — but you can always contact hello@anchoriintel.com and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Not a Medical Service
Vestride is a walking and bone-loading activity tracker. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and its Bone Loading Minutes and calorie figures are informational estimates, not clinical measurements. If you have a bone-health concern or a medical condition, please speak with a qualified healthcare professional before starting or progressing weighted exercise.
10. Children
Vestride is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy materially, we'll update the date at the top and note it in the next app update's release notes.
